Lindsey’s Desert Surprise
Lindsey’s Desert Suprise is the first book in the Desert Surprise Series written by Emily A. York and illustrated by Mary Stokrocki. The Desert Surprise Series books are being written as interactive books allowing parents and teachers to help children broaden their horizons of life in the Sonoran Desert. Lindsey’s name is written in itallics so the reader may easily substitue the child’s name when reading the book. It is our belief by using the child’s name to whom the book is being read will make the story more personal and exciting for both the listeners and reader.
DEDICATON 
This book is dedicated to all of the children who are curious
about and care for the animals in their environment.

Well, the Desert really got a bathing today!
Incredible thunderstorm—unseasonable downpour of rain & hail today (May 22, 2008). It really cooled things off and helped to prevent fires. Very refreshing! Pretty quiet
